A high-speed, dual-slot reader for CFexpress Type B & SDXC memory cards.
This reader is equipped with 1 CFexpress Type B slot and 1 SDXC UHS-II slot (UHS-I backward compatible). The dual-slot design is extremely convenient. Whether you own a camera that uses both CFX-B and SD cards or you have multiple cameras and devices that use each of these formats you will appreciate the ease and speed of connecting them with this reader. As an additional feature you can use your computer and this reader to copy files between the two cards. So, making quick backups is easy!
With a USB 3.2 Gen 2 type C port for a high-performance connection to your computer this reader achieves blazing fast transfer speeds up to 10 GB/s for CFexpress Type B cards and up to 5 GB/s for SD cards (transfer speeds are dependent on the capability of your memory card and computer as well). Two connection cables are included for your convenience, a USB-A and a USB-C.
The physical design of the reader was created for durability and excellent heat management. Because CFexpress Type B cards are capable of such high speeds they also generate a lot of heat. When that heat is not managed well the life of your card is shortened. The ProMaster 4851 reader uses an aluminum alloy housing along with custom designed internal components for the best possible heat management to preserve the life and performance of your card.
